D300 does not have auto mode but i fell in love with it the first time i used it. I want auto mode as i do not like using manual mode in the dark.
If not D300, what camera would you suggest?
I prefer nikon to canon. But i’m not very keen in olympus

Compared to what? If you just up and dropped 2 grand on the D300 and 18-200mm VR lens, you’d have a good camera. The advantage – you’d have a good camera where once you did not. What kind of question is this?
